At Seamoss Africa, wellness is more than a product — it’s a commitment to community upliftment. The Ubuntu Care Drive is our social impact initiative inspired by the belief: “I am because we are.” Every purchase contributes to empowering young girls, improving wellness access, and restoring dignity in underserved communities.
What We Do
Menstruation Wellness Workshops
We educate young girls on menstrual health, nutrition, and natural remedies. Our workshops build confidence, improve understanding, and create safe spaces for learning.
Pad Donation Campaigns
Through in-store promotions and community drives, customers donate sanitary pads that we distribute to local schools. This ensures girls never miss school because of a lack of menstrual products.
Wellness Pack Distribution
We provide holistic wellness packs featuring Seamoss gel, herbal teas, and educational materials — promoting everyday wellness habits.
HOW IT WORKS
The Ubuntu Care Drive operates on a simple but powerful
principle: “Wellness in, Wellness out.”
Every Seamoss Africa product purchased contributes a portion of
revenue or resources to the initiative. This creates a continuous,
measurable impact cycle:
1.Customer Purchase → Revenue allocated to Ubuntu Care Drive.
2.Donation & Workshops → Resources distributed and education delivered.
3.Community Impact → Measurable improvements in access, attendance, and health awareness.
4.Brand Value → Increased trust and loyalty among socially conscious consumers and partners. This model ensures scalability, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
Program Pillars
1. Menstruation Wellness Workshops
UBUNTU CARE DRIVE
We host interactive sessions to educate learners on menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and the use of natural remedies to support reproductive health.
Conducted our first series of workshops at Matseliso Secondary School
in Johannesburg. Reached over 100 learners, focusing on menstrual awareness, emotional
well-being, and confidence building. Distributed educational booklets and Seamoss samples to help learners understand the link between nutrition and menstrual health.
Feedback indicated that learners felt more informed, empowered, and
comfortable discussing menstruation. “I learned how to take care of myself and not be shy about my period.” — Grade 9 learner, Matseliso Secondary Schoo
