When we launched our 9-day detox, we knew it would be a journey of discipline, growth, and discovery. What we didn’t expect was just how inspiring the stories of our 26 participants would be. Each of them came with their own goals, challenges, and reasons for joining — and what they walked away with is nothing short of transformative.
A Shared Journey, Different Lessons
For some, the detox was about cleansing the body and creating a fresh start. For others, it was about breaking habits and testing their mental strength. Collectively, what tied everyone together was the sense of accountability and community support.
Here’s what our detoxers had to say:
“Good morning team😊
I would also like to thank SeamossAfrica for the decisions they took upon themselves, by teaching the communities in the spectrum about healing and spirituality. Thank you again for believing in us the community at large👏 by providing us with the knowledge you from receive from the underground gang Mashaba’s ba galalelang le babang and the almighty 🙏.
It was not an easy 9-day herbal detox because I like my meat, fizzy drinks and majwalist 🥂but I bekezelad knowing what I would like to achieve, I also suffer from acute constipation and would frequently brew and drink the Rhubarb tea I’ve bought from Pretoria store. Ever since the 5th of August, I’ve been going to the toilet without a question raised in my head of wheater I will do no5 or not, but it would happen without a doubt…tjooo ke kakile bathing sorry🤣🤞 and as for the tea’s I enjoyed them all but Senna is the best for me.
Buchu water yerrr🤢, the first 2days my mind would wonder but after that it’s a friend and I even bought another bottle on Wednesday at my favourite store Seamoss Africa Pretoria.
Lastly, my team…the First to do the 9-day herbal detox with Ntate Mashaba and his team, are all star’s 🌟 we did soldier on and thank you for taking part in this journey togegher 😊. I, personally will continue with the daily routine we have on the links and this platform…today I’m going to drink 0% alcohol of JC just to pad my back and say “Kero, you stood the test of time for 9-day without your favourites. Kea leboga, lesedi le kganye” – Kero
“Grand rising mkhulu Thabo and great team and the Seamoss landers 🙏🏾🥰🌹I appreciate this opportunity to be in the community and would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Seamoss team and mkhulu Thabo for your selflessness in taking the responsibility to teach, encourage and support us on this holistic health care and healing. The experience… I had my shockers like cancer bush’s bitterness 🤭. Guess what with all the experience I soldiered on with your unwavering support and encouragement. I literally looked forward to the reminders and course enrollments. I can safely and with confidence say my pallet can now take and tolerate bitterness cos akerr in mkhulu Thabo’s words, bitterness is sweet for your organs🥰🙏🏾My body is dancing in appreciation of the course, and she(my body)says I must tell you, Thank you from the bottom of our heart💜💐My take out is…I have learnt and continue to learn through you, mkhulu Thabo and your various outreach platforms about herbal remedies and cleaner health. I now have some structure in the future to be present for my health. May Ramasedi shine His light upon your life and path and enlarge your territory. May your underground gangs and our underground gangs, that come with light, lead your way, and give you strength to keep on striking our candles of knowledge. We appreciate you and your purpose immensely. Love and light👏🏾🙏🏾💜💐” – Grace
“Greetings!I’m sad that the 9 days is over, and want a round 2 👊🏽. This time focusing more on my diet.
Ntate Thabo will attest in his first check in, my biggest concern was not eating meat for 9 days 😭 but he reassured me that I should eat wholesome food with lots of vegetables and I didn’t need to cut out my meat. Now let’s talk about Buchu water 😩, I have been late for work every day since the start of the program because I would avoid taking buchu water purely because of the smell. Eventually after 45min, I would gulp it and gag and erase the smell by chewing and squeezing orange peels on my mouth.
One of the greatest things that happened during the detox is on day 3, I usually get hectic menstrual pains but this time there was nothing, I just got surprised when I woke up.🙂
All the lessons learnt in during the program have been meaningful. The biggest take home for me was listening to my body and how it was responding each day to the process. I started reflecting and journaling and this has given me such internal calmness and peace.
Now that the program is over I’m continuing with the midday tea cause I’ve acquired the taste and enjoy it immensely. Looking forward to doing it again cause I think this is going to be my monthly ritual. BTW, I think my belly is a few cm’s smaller🫣 Thank you so much to the Seamoss Africa Team” –Thabi
“My! My!. The 9 days herbal detox not with anyone but seamossafrica. My experience with the programme is that few cm were shaded off however to me what has been of important results was the energy levels I had or still every morning that was something I last felt in my late 20s. The reduction in stress level, the improvement in concentration that has drastically improved and thanks to the programme. It also reminded me that I am what eat and those 9 days showed me that if you it good you feel good. The herbs bitterness as a former skoon whisky drinker it was within but this time the bitterness was good for the liver. I’m now drinking Moringa first thing in the morning everyday(not sure that’s ok but I’m enjoying it. What can also be improved is the daily food, in between snacks advise to come timeously especially for me who is always on the road and have late nights daily Because of my work routines and locations I will be doing the Senna process this weekend as it recommended that I should be next to the TO. But without it have twoing very well there by small boys room.
Bra T and team, thank you.” –Rofhiwa
“In general this program has been incredible for me on a holistic level as I engaged in deep prayer, pahla and meditation rituals. It taught me the power of discipline, consistency and being able to navigate the process with a community was all the more encouraging and motivating. Thank you friends, your comments made my days 😂🤗 I look forward to partaking in the program in the future and I most definitely will be spreading the word and getting my family and friends to join. 💖🙏🏽 Asé to all” – Ntombi
Their experiences reminded us that detoxing isn’t just about food — it’s about mindset, discipline, and self-care. The most powerful outcome was seeing how different people, from different walks of life, came together and supported one another through a shared challenge.
Some discovered new eating habits they want to carry forward. Others unlocked confidence in their ability to set and achieve goals. And all of them walked away with lessons that will extend far beyond 9 days.
A Big Thank You
We want to thank each of the 26 participants for their trust and commitment. Their testimonials and stories are proof that with structure, support, and intention, anyone can reset and step into a better version of themselves.
This detox was only the beginning — and we can’t wait to see what happens as more people take part in the future.
